Events and Celebrations

It’s a nice day for FATHER DAUGHTER TAKE A WALK DAY; though, with it being as hot as it is, you may want to take that stroll in a mall or somewhere else inside with AC.  If you can’t manage a walk, how about a phone call or recalling some sweet memories of times together.

Do you have a “place where everybody knows your name”?  NATIONAL DIVE BAR DAY celebrates that little hole in the wall that just seems to fit like a comfy pair of shoes.  These little bars certainly add flavor to the neighborhood, and if you choose to observe this one – please don’t drink and drive.

NATIONAL MACARONI DAY celebrates the most popular pasta in the U.S.  You can add cheese to it, use it in a casserole, turn it into a salad or even make an art project out of it.  Have fun with this noodle today.

This leads us to our dessert of the day.  STRAWBERRY SUNDAE DAY just hits the spot.  The great thing about this chilling concoction is all the different ingredients you can put on top.  Whipped cream, cherries, hot fudge, nuts…the list goes on.  Make up your ideal strawberry sundae and enjoy.
