Events and Celebrations

 NATIONAL MOON DAY commemorates that moment when Neil Armstrong took his small step for man and one giant leap for mankind.  It was 1969, and the whole world watched as man actually landed on the surface of the moon and walked on it.  Can you imagine being the first person to do that?

UGLY TRUCK DAY celebrates those powerhouse vehicles that haul, transport and lug anything and everything.  Looks ain’t everything when it comes to a truck, but there are some gnarly looking vehicles out there that get the job done.

INTERNATIONAL CHESS DAY puts us in check.  The eons old game is fun, contemplative and competitive for all ages.  If you are a fan and happen to be in St. Louis, come check out the World Chess Hall of Fame Museum.

NATIONAL HOT DOG DAY comes to us, grilled, steamed, boiled or microwaved.  Smother your dawg in any topping(s) you choose and enjoy.

NATIONAL LOLLIPOP DAY is our dandy candy feature.  If you choose to celebrate, you will have a multitude of sizes, colors and flavors to pick from.

FORTUNE COOKIE DAY is the perfect topper for this beautiful day.  Not only do you get a delicious morsel, but it comes with a bit of wisdom as well.  Here’s one – “Everywhere you go – there you are”.
