Events and Celebrations
We give a tip of the hat to WORLD TEACHERS DAY. Teachers all over the globe need to take a bow for your hard work, dedication and huge heart that you put into your students. Thank you!
YOM KIPPUR is considered the holiest day in Judaism. Fasting, not feasting, is what’s called for as participants will seek forgiveness and contrition from GOD, as well as doing good works.
Need your morning cup of joe? How about celebrating COFFEE WITH A COP DAY? What better way to get to know the folks who have sworn to serve and protect us and to give them a proper thanks.
NATIONAL DO SOMETHING NICE DAY does a heart good. Smile, help someone, give a person a little bit of your time, whatever you can do to keep this going will be good for everyone.
While we are being nice why don’t we celebrate NATIONAL GET FUNKY DAY? Do what is needed to get your funk on and celebrate this ride that we call life.
Let’s dig into those orange gourds and celebrate NATIONAL PUMPKIN SEED DAY. Full of vitamins these babies have more protein than a hard-boiled egg. Dig ‘em out, rinse them off and bake.
Our dessert of the day is Cinna-delicious. APPLE BETTY DAY takes sliced apples, tops them with cinnamon, butter and sugar, and then bakes them until you can smell heaven.
