A Tip of the Hat Goes to…
NATIONAL TEAM MANAGER DAY partners with Flipgive – a free app that sports teams can use to earn cash back on team purchases. The team manager may not get as much recognition as the athletes or the coach, but they are a much needed cog that keeps the whole organization running.
Education and Information
DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS so make sure and set your clocks back an hour. I am all for a productive day, but I am still not sure how changing the time is supposed to help with that.
For Fun

SAXOPHONE DAY just happens to fall on the birthday of Adolphe Sax – the guy who invented it. His patent actually covered 14 versions of this instrument ranging from soprano to contrabass. The patent was good for 15 years and after that, others made their own modifications to this brassy woodwind.
On Today’s Menu…
NATIONAL NACHO DAY brings the chips and all of the toppings to heap on them. The year was 1981, the place – Rumas Deli in South County Mall. I walked over on my break to get a sandwich and saw something called Nachos on the menu. It turned out to be just chips and cheese sauce, but it may have changed my life forever.

1869 – Rutgers beats Princeton in the first college football game – well – I am typing this on Friday, and I know that Rutgers will lose to Michigan on Saturday – Go Blue!
1894 – William C. Hooker invents the spring-loaded mouse trap
1923 – Colonel Jacob Schick receives a patent for the electric razor
1947 – Meet the Press debuts on NBC
1962 – The UN condemns apartheid in South Africa
1995 – The Cleveland Browns move to Baltimore and become the Baltimore Ravens. The people of Cleveland weren’t happy and as a football fan in a city that saw 2 teams move out, I can sympathize. It is a happy ending though, as Cleveland was awarded an expansion team and got football and the name “Browns” back.
2018 – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez becomes the youngest person to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives at 29

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray for a week of blessings for myself and all of these beautiful people. May sickness stay away and may you form a hedge of protection around my friends and family. Thank you for everything, God. In Jesus’s name I pray, Amen.
