FAT THURSDAY falls on the Thursday before Ash Wednesday and is one of the last big hurrahs before the season of Lent. The Polish call it donut day, as an average of 2-3 paczki are consumed per person in that country on this day. Paczki is basically a donut filled with all of the goodness, fat and calories we have come to know and love. Make sure and indulge a little, especially if these little fried gems are on your no-no list for Lent. Besides, if you eat a donut today, you will have good luck all year long – according to Polish tradition.

It is usually found through other tests that reveal the tumors that block the bile ducts and liver. This is one cancer that hasn’t had a lot of research done and we definitely need to learn more about it.

Dear Heavenly Father, so many are suffering from cancer, please heal those who are fighting it and be with their friends and family to strengthen them and give them hope. Be with the doctors, nurses and scientists to give them the skills, knowledge and caring to come up with cures and to take care of these patients. I ask this in Your name, Jesus, Amen.
