Military Honors

In 1948, President Harry Truman created the United States Air Force Reserve. This branch handles about 20% of the workload of the Air Force by flying combat, firefighting, personnel recovery, and weather reconnaissance missions. Over 70,000 brave volunteers make up this division and we thank you and salute you for your service. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIR FORCE RESERVE!
Our Fishy Friends

Venturing into the animal kingdom we celebrate NATIONAL DOLPHIN DAY. Intelligent, social, and friendly, these entertaining animals are fun to watch and sometimes interact with. They are on the endangered species list, which is more than a shame and a shame on us. Let’s do what we can to get them off that list.
For Fun
Today is a good day to get outside and celebrate NATIONAL GARDNENING DAY, NATIONAL LOOK UP AT THE SKY DAY and NATIONAL REACH AS HIGH AS YOU CAN DAY. Make sure those gardens are in good shape and ready to sprout good food and beautiful flowers. Take in the beauty of the sky while you are out there and give a big ol’ stretch – reaching for the clouds.
On Today’s Menu…

Let’s get a little nutty with NATIONAL PECAN DAY. Full of fiber and vitamins, this little nut can lower your bad cholesterol and raise the good. They go in salads, recipes, are great by themselves and of course make up that richest of desserts – pecan pie.

Dear Heavenly Father, please shine Your light into the souls of those suffering from depression. May they be healed of this affliction and realize that they are wonderful in Your sight and ours. Make us aware of what we can do to help. I ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.
