An incredible actress and dancer who starred in such films as Cover Girl (1944) and Gilda (1946)
Evel Knievel (1938-2007)
This daredevil broke records…and bones. He attempted more than 75 death defying jumps on his motorcycle and broke 433 bones doing so. His record of jumping 19 cars was set in 1971 and back then the cars were a lot bigger than they are now. He jumped over the whirring blades of three helicopters and attempted to jump the fountain at Caesars Palace as well as going over the Snake River Canyon in a rocket car. As daring as he was, he was a big advocate for helmet safety and always gave an anti-drug speech to his audiences before each show.
