NATIONAL CHECK YOUR WIPERS DAY has us performing some important maintenance.  Especially this time of year, with slushy roads, snow and ice, you need to be able to see out your windshield clearly.  For those who scrape a little peep hole on their windshield to drive by (you know who you are) clear off the whole thing please – we don’t want you getting into an accident.

CLARINET DAY celebrates the woodwind that has been around since the 1700’s.  German musician, Johann Christoph Denner, is credited with its invention and it has gone through many modifications since.  You can hear it’s sound in all kinds of musical genres with one of the more famous as the voice of the wolf in the Peter and the Wolf composition.

NATIONAL FAST-FOOD DAY has us heading to our favorite burger place, taco hut or fried chicken shack.  I would not recommend this every day, but now and then is just fine.  White Castle was the first to sell quickly made, cheap burgers and this was done out of an old streetcar in Wichita in 1921.  The price for a slider back then was 5Ȼ.
