Education and Information

INTERNATIONAL CELLO DAY celebrates this four stringed instrument that looks like a giant fiddle. It adds a rich sound to any orchestra and anyone who plays this instrument must be dedicated to it as they have to lug it around with them. It is also the birthday of celebrated cellist Pablos Casals. This musician and composer rejuvenated cello music with his recordings of “Bach Cello Suite”.

TICK TOCK DAY reminds us that the end of the year is almost here and now is the time to wrap up any unfinished business. Tie up those loose ends so you can start the New Year with a clean slate.

PEPPER POT DAY is all about the “soup that won the war”. Pepper pot soup got the Continental Army through the winter of 1777 when there wasn’t much else available to eat. Made of tripe, vegetables and peppercorn, this thick stock will definitely fill you up.
