Batman and Robin BAM, POW and SMASH their way onto our TV screens on this day in 1966

Religious Holidays

THEOPHANY – THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD is celebrated on the first Sunday after Epiphany and was originally part of the Epiphany Holiday. In 1955, it was separated from the other events of that day by the Pope and made its own commemorative day. The baptism of Christ by John the Baptist shows that Jesus, himself, felt the need to be baptized and it also signifies the start of his ministry. After Jesus came out of the water, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him like a dove and the voice of God could be heard saying, “This is my Son whom I love – my son with whom I am pleased.” This is one of the few instances recorded in the Bible where each entity of the Holy Trinity is together in the same place.
A Tip of the Hat Goes to…

NATIONAL PHARMACIST DAY thanks the people who dispense not only our medicine, but advice and caring. They go to school as long as a medical doctor, deal with customers, insurance plans, pharmaceutical companies, and make sure we have what we need. Thank you for your hard work and dedication.
Family and Friends

SUNDAY SUPPER DAY brings back that friends and family tradition of eating together around the dinner table. There is something about being able to gather our loved ones around for a delicious meal that can nourish our bodies as well as our souls.
For Fun

KISS A GINGER DAY only works if you know the person and you have permission to do so. Otherwise, you could be in a lot of trouble, legally and physically, as those red heads are known to have quite a temper.
On Today’s Menu…

NATIONAL HOT TEA DAY asks if you prefer Earl Gray or Orange Pekoe. Maybe go organic or caffeine free. However you like the second most popular beverage in the world, enjoy a cup.

CURRIED CHICKEN DAY comes in hot and spicy. Onions, spices and of course, curry, are used to dress this fowl in a delicious coat of flavor and taste.

NATIONAL MARZIPAN DAY celebrates the candy made from sugar or honey and ground almonds. These sweet treats are usually formed into the shape of fruits, vegetables and animals. Hmmm, that’s one veggie that may not be so good for you, but it will taste delicious.

He would then ferret out where it was – only failing to do this about 10 times
