The Rosetta Stone is discovered on this day in 1799

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
A Tip of the Hat Goes to…

FLIGHT ATTENDANT SAFETY DAY gets our tip of the captain’s hat as we give these folks of the air their due. Taking care of us is their main job, and sometimes that ain’t easy. Crying babies, needy passengers, and a host of other situations keep the flight attendants on their toes; and we thank them for their fortitude and caring.
Celebrate You with…

TOSS AWAY THE “COULD HAVES” AND “SHOULD HAVES” DAY encourages us to write down all of the things we should have done or could have done. Take that list and throw it in the trash, along with all of your regrets. Learn from the past, but don’t live there.
Tradition

NATIONAL FLITCH DAY has its origins in early England and is still celebrated over there every three to four years. On this day, married couples would go before a mock court after being together for at least a year and a day to prove their love to each other. If they passed, they got a flitch of bacon (about half a pig). I say we bring this back.
For Fun

WORDS WITH FRIENDS DAY celebrates the app that brings people together through vocabulary competition. If you are into showing off your skills of diction and word knowledge, this is the game for you.
Belly up to the Bar

We raise a glass to NATIONAL DAIQUIRI DAY. Start off with a glass of rum – ok – we could stop there – but if you must have a girly drink – add the lime juice and sugar and flavorings and tiny umbrellas and…I just talked myself into having one.

Let’s also raise a glass to NATIONAL STRAWBERRY RHUBARB WINE DAY. This vintage sounds interesting enough to try.
