I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

WORLD HONEYBEE DAY draws attention to these buzzing insects that provide us with the sweet nectar of honey.  Lately, we have come to realize the importance of the role that bees play in the environment as well as in our lives.  These little pollinators need flowers to collect their pollen from and in turn keep the flowers and trees thriving.  Nature is certainly amazing.

A priest and a rabbi walk into a bar… and then say “ouch”.  TELL A JOKE DAY brings on the laughs – or the groans.  Pull your best one-liners and punch lines out of your joke bag and spread the laughter – it is, after all, the best medicine.

I wouldn’t mix this next one with the last one – NATIONAL RUM DAY.  Now, I could go into the history of rum or the specifics on how it is made, but that’s no fun.  Raise a glass of your favorite rum drink and toast the day.  It might even bring out a little pirate in ya.
