We have to open with NATIONAL TAILGATING DAY, in honor of the NCAA football season getting off to its first big weekend of the season.  Some of you may be tailgating today, and if you are – have a good time.  If you aren’t – make up some delicious snacks, deck yourself out in your team colors and have a good time.  Oh yeah… GO BLUE!!

INTERNATIONAL BACON DAY has to follow National Tailgating Day.  There is some negativity about this candy of meats – but don’t listen to it.  Is it good for you?  Probably not.  Does it have vitamins, minerals and antioxidants? Nope.  Will it fight off colds and boost your immune system? Nah.  But it’s bacon!  I say, if people are gonna talk bad about it – then those people shouldn’t be allowed to smell it when it is cooking.
