NATIONAL SON’S DAY follows on the heels of National Daughters Day.  Give your he-man a hug or a phone call on his special day.  He deserves it.  I will be getting hold of mine to let him know how proud I am of him. 

FAMILY HEALTH AND FITNESS DAY encourages everyone to eat a little healthier and move a little more. 

Howdy Neighbor

GOOD NEIGHBOR DAY reminds us that we are not in this alone.  Letting people reach out to you is just as important as reaching out to other people.  We all need a little help every now and then and knowing you have someone you can count on makes a big difference.

Outdoor Living

HUNTING AND FISHING DAY is all about bonding with the outdoors.  Grab your rod and reel or your hunting gear and bring home dinner.

PUBLIC LANDS DAY allows you to hike, camp, fish and enjoy, for free, federally managed lands that you would otherwise have to pay a fee for.  In return, you promise to pick up litter and perform some land maintenance and conservation.

SAVE YOUR PHOTOS DAY just wants to keep those memories alive. 

NATIONAL GHOST HUNTING DAY coincides with the opening of Haunted Houses for the season.  If you’ve a mind to search for the dearly departed be careful – you might just find what you’re looking for. 

Belly up to the Bar

Hoist a mug to DRINK BEER DAY.  It’s your suds of choice so enjoy your favorite brew.

It’s been a while since we have had a dessert of the day, but this one makes up for that.  STRAWBERRY CREAM PIE is like the last sweet remnant of summer before the pumpkin spice wave hits head on. Strawberries and cream wrapped up in a pie.  Yes, please.
